Fundamentals of Data Engineering was published in July 2022. In November of that year, the first iteration of ChatGPT hit the scene. In this talk, I'll discuss how data engineering and other data professions are changing in the age of generative AI. What will stand the test of time? What challenges have persisted through this sea change?
